Atlantis can be linked to laser range finders. On places without GPS signals (like under roofs), the range finder allows to focus a object and to map its position. Depending on device type the usage and accuracy varies (integrated compass yes/no, compass resolution, etc.).

At devices without compass, the focused object must be measured from 2 different positions. Atlantis then calculates the target coordinates. The listed specifications are manufacturer´s data and depends on temperature and surface conditions. The values in braces are shows ranges using a reflector.
